FM27 club debt and ticket prices: edit them on Mac

To cut a club's debt or change ticket prices in FM27, open the club's profile in MacLibero RT and go to the “Finances” tab. In “Debts and loans”, change the “Amount remaining” or the “Monthly repayment” of each debt; in “Ticketing and next season”, set the average ticket price, the season ticket price and next season's budgets. Then click “Apply to game”.

In Football Manager 27, some clubs start the save buried under a loan that takes decades to repay, and you cannot simply set your own ticket prices. MacLibero RT, the Football Manager 27 editor for Mac, writes these figures straight into your single-player save, while the game is running.

How do you reduce club debt in FM27?

  1. In MacLibero RT, click “Launch FM 27”, load your save, then click “Refresh from game” (⌘R).
  2. Open the club's profile (from Clubs, or from a link on a player's profile).
  3. Pick the “Finances” tab.
  4. In the “Debts and loans” card, each debt shows its end date (“Ends …”), the interest included in each payment (“incl. interest … / month”), then two fields: “Amount remaining” and “Monthly repayment”.
  5. Type the new figure. Changed fields are highlighted until you write them.
  6. Click “Apply to game (n)”, where n is the number of pending changes, or “Cancel” to drop them.

The card only appears when the club has at least one debt. When we checked on a copy of a save, 51 clubs had debts. Paris Saint-Germain carried the biggest one: about €936M (£804M) to repay until 2050. We cut it to £700M, read it back from the game, then put it back.

Can you remove club debt completely?

Not in one click: deleting a debt, or adding a new one, is not available. What you can do is lower the “Amount remaining” to a small figure. The amount must stay above zero, as in the game's own editor. Every month, the game takes the monthly repayment from the club's balance, so a smaller debt or a lighter repayment frees up money for transfers and wages.

Why does the game refuse some repayments?

Two rules come from Football Manager 27 itself, and MacLibero RT applies them before writing anything:

  • a monthly repayment of zero is refused;
  • a repayment lower than the interest is refused (the card reminds you: “The game refuses a repayment lower than the interest.”).

Each write also checks that the value in the game is still the one shown in the app. If the game changed it in the meantime, the write is refused and nothing changes: click “Refresh from game” (⌘R) and try again.

How do you change ticket prices in FM27?

  1. On the same “Finances” tab, find the “Ticketing and next season” card.
  2. Change “Average ticket price” and/or “Season ticket price”.
  3. Click “Apply to game (n)”.
  4. Save your save in FM 27, then reload it to see the new prices.

The card says it in so many words: “Amounts in your currency. Visible in FM 27 after saving and reloading the game.” Prices must be above zero, up to £1,000 for a ticket and £20,000 for a season ticket. In our check, Paris Saint-Germain's average ticket went from £62.71 to £80, was read back from the game, then restored.

Can you change next season's transfer and wage budgets?

Yes, in the same card:

  • “Next season's transfer budget”: the budget the board will give you next season. We raised Paris Saint-Germain's from £70.1M to £90M, read it back, then restored it.
  • “Next season's wage budget (per month)”: only shown once the game has set it. The game counts wages per week; the app shows and converts them per month.

To change this season's balance or budgets, use the editing card just above on the same tab. To fit your squad's wages into the new budget, see how to edit player contracts in FM27.

Which currency are the amounts in?

The game stores every amount in pounds. MacLibero RT shows and takes them in your currency: by default the one of your Mac's region, or the one you pick under “Currency” in the app's settings. Exchange rates are fixed and approximate, and the game applies its own, so the figure shown in the game may differ slightly.

Which clubs can you edit?

The game keeps detailed finances only for clubs in the leagues being played. For those, the ticketing card and next season's budgets are shown. For other clubs only the balance is known, and the app says so. The debts card appears for every club that has a debt.

How do you undo it?

Each apply is a batch in History: one click puts the old prices, budgets or debt back, as long as the game has not changed the value since. See how to undo editor changes in FM27.

Single-player saves only. Keep a copy of any save you care about.
