FM27: undo editor changes with History
To undo editor changes in FM27 made with MacLibero RT, open History in the sidebar and click “Undo” next to the value, or “Undo batch” for a whole batch. The old value is written back to the game, unless FM 27 changed it in the meantime: then the undo is refused, never forced.

Boosting a whole squad, creating a wonderkid, healing an injury: with any editor, the real question is how you go back. In MacLibero RT, every write to your Football Manager 27 save is logged with its previous value. That is what lets you experiment without worrying.
How do you undo an edit in FM27?
- In MacLibero RT's sidebar, under “Edits”, click “History”. The badge shows how many edits the current session holds.
- Find the row: record type, player name (clickable), field, old → new value.
- Click “Undo” at the end of the row. The previous value goes back into the game, if it has not changed since.
As for any write, the game must have been launched from MacLibero RT with your save loaded.
How do you undo a whole batch at once?
Edits are grouped into batches, newest first. A batch is one apply: “Apply to game” on a profile, a mass edit, a wonderkid, “Heal whole squad”… “Undo batch” restores the previous values of the whole batch, from the most recent to the oldest.
Right after a mass edit or a wonderkid, the summary also offers “Undo this batch”, without going to History. In our test, batches from a whole-squad mass edit and from creating a wonderkid were undone exactly, back to the starting point value by value.
Why is an undo refused?
Undoing means writing the old value over the new one. Before writing, MacLibero RT checks the value is still the one it wrote. If the game has changed it since (a match played, development, a renegotiation), the undo is refused and the row says why: “Value changed in the game since (… instead of …): undo refused.” Whatever FM 27 did on its own is never overwritten.
Another case: if you reloaded the save and then refreshed the app (⌘R), the record is no longer at the same place in memory. The app spots it and refuses without sending anything: “The save has been reloaded since: this record is no longer at the same place in the game.”
Finally, a kind of write with no known reverse is marked “Can't be undone”.
Is History kept between sessions?
The log is kept per game session, meaning per launch of FM 27, not per save file. Record addresses are only valid for the launch that saw them. So:
- you can undo for as long as FM 27 is running, in the same session;
- earlier sessions stay viewable from the “Game session” menu, read-only;
- “Show in Finder” opens the log folder, one line per successful write.
Can you undo an undo?
No. An undo is logged too, in a batch marked “Undo”. To get the edited value back, just make the edit again from the profile.
When does the undo show in FM 27?
The undo is done in the save immediately, but FM 27 may keep showing the previous value: save and reload your save to see it. Only reload once you have finished undoing, since a reloaded save moves records around.
History is a safety net, not a backup. Keep a copy of any save you care about. Single-player saves only.
What you need
Undoing writes to the game, like any edit: it needs a licence, €6.99 once for FM27, on up to 3 Macs (see pricing, comparison). Every write goes through History, including healing a player or restoring squad fitness.
